IBM once again achieved excellent results in this year’s highly regarded BARC Planning Survey - the 2018 edition of the world’s largest independent survey of planning users. IBM achieved an incredible 25 #1 placements and 13 leading ranks, across various important KPIs such as Project Success, Product Satisfaction, Performance Satisfaction, and Business Value across four different peer groups. This consolidates Planning Analytics’ position as a leading global planning and analysis product, for businesses and departments of all sizes.
Planning Analytics is ranked #1 for ‘Project Success’ in the ‘Enterprise Software Vendors’ peer group, clearly beating all of its international rivals – a testament to Planning Analytics flexibility, scalability and ease of integration with existing internal software. IBM’s customers were very satisfied with the ease and speed of their implementation, with the survey highlighting the frequency of projects completed on time and within budget.
Once up and running, Planning Analytics customers were delighted with its performance, which achieves top place finishes for ‘Performance Satisfaction’ across 3 different peer groups. This is even more impressive given the size of many Planning Analytics deployments. A commonly cited reason for this is Planning Analytics in-memory database, capable of handling large data volumes as well as large numbers of users – a major differentiator to competitors.
#1 for Planning AND Reporting
The survey repeatedly highlights Planning Analytics excellent product offering, as it achieves further #1 placements in various categories such as Ease of Use, and User Experience, while also ranking very highly in Self-Service. The numerous #1 rankings Planning Analytics receives across Planning Functionality, Reporting/Analysis Functionality, and in particular Simulation and Scenario Analysis (an incredible #1 across every single peer group) shows just how well rounded a product Planning Analytics is.
